Wag Time has been open since 2004 and is a place full of fun! Some of our regulars think they run the place, however, we (humans) actually manage the day to day operations. We have an awesome team, including:
Christine, the owner, mans the front desk M-F and volunteers for Urban Animal Magazine. She is passionate about animal rescue, spay/neuter awareness and the humane treatment of all pets. She has 2 rescue dogs - Boomer and Trixie who go to work with her every day to help keep things lively!
Jacob has been with Wag Time since shortly after its opening and is invaluable to us and most of our customers. He handles baths, nail trims, drop offs & pick ups, playtime, rest-time, clean up, accidents, and provides a warm lap part of the day. He has 2 dogs of his own: Keira and Keller who come to visit frequently.
William works the day care M-F, provides one-on-one time when needed and can usually be seen fixing something when not cuddling a pup.
Jay is a certified trainer who owns A Pup's Best Pal. In addition to holding group training classes at Wag Time, he helps us better understand doggie behavior. Thanks to Jay, we reinforce basic obedience commands throughout the day, recognize doggie body language and we're learning more about how to treat doggie emergencies and save lives.
Claudia attends UTA and helps handle boarding on the weekends, as well as manning the front desk in the mornings. Her best friend, Odie, is here in the office during the week making sure things run smoothly.
Mersee also attends UTA and works on the weekneds handling boarding and closes up the shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Her little buddy, Hardy, comes by during the day to check up on everyone. Though he's small, he does try to keep everyone 'on their toes'!
Dee is a student at the University of Houston, so she is helping us out just for the summer, though she will be back whenever she's in town, working with us over school Holidays.
Carley works part-time in the day care and helps with boarding. Her pup, Bella, comes in occasionally to 'help' Carley work...
Joel works on the weekends, handling boarding. He makes sure everyone is fed and watered, their kennels are clean and they're all happy. Thank you, Joel, for keeping things running smoothly over the weekends!
Lauren is our newest team member. She is a natural with the dogs and is often seen giving some one on one attention to those who need it. Everytime I look up, she is holding someone, cuddling them or at least talking to them. It's very cute!
We are not only proud members of the Better Business Bureau, but we are also members of the Pet Care Services Association (PCSA), formerly known as the American Boarding Kennels Association (ABKA), and we willingly adhere to their Code of Ethics as well as the Pet Owners' Bill of Rights document.
